Comic Trim is a bit of a wild card in this space. It’s relatively new so we don’t know how this one is going to turn out long-term. However, it’s a fairly competent manga and comic reader. It’s a reader that supports CBZ, CBR, ZIP, RAR, image folders, and PDF. That should cover most of the formats that manga uses. This is only recommended for those who already have a standalone collection and need an app that can read them properly. The free version comes with stuff like a night reading mode, a magnifying glass mode, gesture controls, and more. The premium version removes ads, supports higher resolution images, and has a full dark theme.

Comixology

Comixology is a comic book app with a lot to offer. It’s predominately made for fans of regular comics like Marvel or DC. However, the app has a pretty decent selection of manga. On top of that, the app is built specifically to read comics and that style of literature. That makes it a great spot for fans to read comics comfortably on a smartphone or tablet. The manga is reasonably priced or you can subscribe to Comixology’s service and read the manga for free. Their selection is purely digital. It’s also a good spot for people who like comics as well as manga because the service has plenty of both.

Crunchyroll Manga

Crunchyroll is one of the best anime streaming sites out there. For $6.95 per month, you can access all of their anime. That’s one of the largest legitimate source of English subtitled anime on the Internet. As it turns out, subscribing to Crunchyroll also gives you access to all of the service’s manga. We’re waiting for Crunchyroll to actually improve this app instead of just chasing bugs so your experience may vary. However, you can kill two birds with one stone here. You subscribe once to Crunchyroll and you get both anime and manga. That includes a simulpub set up where new issues of popular manga are available rather quickly. Anyone who subscribes to Crunchyroll should have this too.

We’re treading off the beaten path a little bit with this pick. There are Discord servers for all kinds of interests, including gaming, socializing, and yes, even manga. Manga Searcher V2 is a low-key decent manga app. You simply search for what you want, download it, and read it. It functions perfectly fine as a manga reader app and it had most of the stuff we searched for. However, you do need to get names basically perfect and you can download chapters in batches if you want to. We only recommend this one to people prepared to deal with how low tech it looks, since that is the only real gripe we have with it.

Tachiyomi

Price: Free

Tachiyomi is one of the best manga apps and it’s also more complicated than most. It has a massive collection of both normal anime and NSFW stuff (if you’re into that). The app also has a variety of extensions that provide even more manga along with catalogs from a variety of manga sources. It worked perfectly fine in our testing even though there’s a bit of a learning curve. This app is not available on Google Play because the extensions are actually APK downloads and Google Play doesn’t allow that. Plus, you know, the manga is free, the app has NSFW content, and both of those things can occasionally rub Google the wrong way. You have to download the APK from GitHub (linked at the button) and install from there. It’s a little tedious, but people love this app.

Viz Media manga apps

Price: Free with in-app purchases

Unlike all of the other manga apps on this list, Viz Media is actually a manga publisher. Fans of manga may know them for their Weekly Shonen Jump magazine where a lot of popular series are serialized. On Android, you can get the official Weekly Shonen Jump magazine app and read issues. They also have a standard manga reading app along with a Naruto-specific manga app if you’re into that. All three apps are free to download although you’ll be asked to spend some money on the content. Additionally, the apps still need a little work, but they seem to be good most of the time.

Need a membership program

The app was amazing before the inquisition of the coupon and coin system where it is almost just not worth it paying for the coins as it runs out so quick. I get it that the developers need a way to finance them selves but forcing the readers to constantly purchase coins and watch ads Is not the way to go. Instead, why not implement a system like webcomics where monthly subscription unlocks all episodes. It doesn’t have to be extremely cheap and can be like 10-20 a month. This way I think a lot more readers like me will be more willing to stick around and the app will be more appealing to new readers. It is much more profitable to expand the reach to a broader audience than just the few able to purchases coin month after month. This can be seen by comparing webcomic and mangatoon. The total downloads are relatively the same when both app implemented the coin system. However after the membership system webcomics placed. There download skyrocketed, leaving mangatoon in the dust. I love this app and the stories are great, but I don’t know if I can keep paying for all the comics I watch in this.

Like it’s alright

So my issue isn’t the paywall for unlocking more chapters, like it’s not fun but I sort of get it. My issue is that there is this paywall that I’m sure pays for the translators and the like, but there is no quality control. Given that the app have options to get free coins by being a translator, this brings into question the actual work going in. Such as, are people just feeding information to a computer and using google translate? I don’t feel as if I’m far off because there real problems with the translations that kind of make it difficult to understand. No one is actually screening chapters before they’re put out, and it leads to MAJOR errors. Using the wrong tense, repeats of a word on accident, entire sentence structures that weren’t looked over to see if they even made sense in English. And that’s why I don’t really feel comfortable paying. I’ve seen better translations from people who weren’t getting paid in the old mangafox days than here. They’re rushing out chapters and not even checking the work. I can justify giving money to this if they even thought about adding a quality control team. So I hope they take that into consideration. Or at the very least, slow down the process just a bit in order to give decent(not necessarily perfect) translations. There are a LOT of stories on here and the spreading people thin to make rush deadlines leads to a poor product.

Really??? Locked EPS??

Okay The quality is great, the stories are great but you will never get to finish a story because they’re locked and you have to pay and get this it’s not cheap you’re better off buying the book they have some free books but as soon as they get interesting they start to lock the new episodes why because it’s getting popular and they want money and I understand that but it’s not affordable plus you never even know if the translations are going to be correct how long it’s going to be when they’re going to release the next chapter also I forget what happened in the last episode and I can’t even go back to re-read it when they unlock the next episode or when I get a coupon the next day the episodes are not even long enough to enjoy this Review would’ve been a five star if they translated correctly and at least make each chapter a reasonably length sense we are paying for it. If I’m gonna to pay for a chapter at least do your part and make it worth it by putting in more effort instead of scamming us.

However with no firewalls between the two nodes, both nodes in same subnet, all tcp/ip settings enabled and sa permissions on both servers we're unable to connect using SSMS (management studio), what I'm trying to understand is are there any limitations with creating AlwaysOn Availabiity groups using SQL Developer 2016?
